Rankin Christian Center, a faith-based nonprofit social service agency, is located in one of the most economically distressed areas of Allegheny County. Our purpose is to minister to the physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs both of the individuals and of the community in such as way as to promote community betterment. Our Agency houses a Day Care, Head Start classroom, Rankin Family Care Connection site through UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and a Food Bank connected with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Through a collaboration with AHRCO, housing services are offered for residents of Palisades Plaza and Mon View Heights.
An after school program has been established at Mon View Heights location.. A Computer Lab has opened at RCC as well as at our recently opened Pitcairn site. The Pitcairn site is also open for senior citizen programming and an after school program for youth.
